Starting Fresh

Okay, so I titled this blog ”starting fresh” for the obvious of needing and wanting a fresh start.  After having a 4-hour strategic marketing meeting with Louis from Empath my first move is to revamp the front page of Vai Athletica’s  website.  He has not been the only one but will be the last one to say that my website, especially the front page, is a little ambiguous.  Our product is a little lost when it should be in your face!

“Hi here I am a sports bra that literally carries everything you need for your day!”

Is what you should see and think first.  And so I am on my way to rectifying this and proving to be a person that can take good advice and direction.

The truth is I am running the show pretty much solo!  On top of working at a Veterinarian Clinic full time, raising my four-year-old son with speech and communication delay trying to find time to at least make it appear to my husband that I want to help out around the house! 🙂  I use every spare minute I have 0n trying to learn the ways of new age social media marketing and how to optimize my SEO! Like I have any idea what that is!

I am a people person and always have been.  My whole plan was to do events. By having a booth and being a vendor at events I could, in person, show women how awesome this product is and how much it would make their day easier and hands-free!  Well, COVID really screwed the pooch on that one!  I am a spiritual woman and I do believe in God and Jesus and that He will lead the way!  I will pray for guidance and strength and I will not give up!

I will be very excited to see the new website after it is created, which I am working on as I type, aka project in progress. Along with the new look, I have recently added locally-made trucker hats to the website!  From @PasoRoblesMom, she is a businesswoman boss, mother of 2, and cancer survivor!  Pretty F-ing amazing right!  On top of supporting a local women-owned business, I have decided to give 10% of each hat sale to Summer’s (Pasoroblesmom) charity of choice.  She knew immediately the answer to that one, Cancer Support Community of Templeton.  This is so important to me, to give back!  One of my long term goals and part of our Vision statement: Vai also wants to strive for sustainability and community growth!
