New Beginnings

Happy New Year everyone!  So how fast did that fly by!?  I feel like “That year really flew by”  is everyones’ go to saying and I can actually relate for the first time!  It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for me, especially the last 4 or 5 months so needless to say I have physically let myself go!  I am embarrassed to admit that I have probably gained back all if not a little more than the weight I bragged about losing and keeping off.  I do not have a scale at my new home nor am I rushing out to buy one. My husband and I have made a couple of new year resolutions and once I prove to myself that I am keeping true to those resolutions I will buy a scale for the continuation of weight monitoring.

Side Note:  The meaning of “News Year Resolution” / A Promise you make to yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year.

I am going to share with all you lovely people my list of Resolutions:

  1. My family and I are going to eat from a cook at home menu 5 nights out of the week
  2. I am only going to drink alcohol 2 nights out of the week
  3. I am going to sit down with my 3yr old and write letters on nice stationary (Tristan will hopefully draw pictures) To my loved ones monthly!
  4. I am going to do physical activity 3 days out of the week.
  5. I am going to brush ALL 3 of my chihuahua’s teeth at least 4 days out of the week!

This list is as much as I dare to tack on, I would hate to put to much on my plate and fail simply because I over did it and set the bar to high. Slow and steady wins the race!:)

I’m going to be frank everyone, I have been in a funk since Christmas!  The Flu ran through almost all of us and since I was sick for 3 days I still feel weird, achy, lethargic and simply emotionally drained.  I am going to touch back on this next month and keep everyone updated with my resolutions and physical/emotional state!
