Dream Into Reality

The first few blogs on starting Vai was titled The Dream, but then I strayed away from that title.  Not intentional it just happened that way. To be truthful about it I have never blogged or owned a business or managed a website (not that I’m running the website with ours currently) or kept financial books ( which I am doing currently)!  I definitely question whether I’m doing any of this correctly! I scrolled up and perused my past blogs and figured I would add on to the Dream and not worry so much whether or not if I have been doing them right. After all, this is Vai’s story as messy and unorganized as it may be.

Here at Vai,we have come pretty far from over two years ago when we first contacted  a design company in Minnesota. We have had some nice milestones.

  1. Adding Sarah Newlon as a partner
  2. Getting our Website up and running (thanks to Rebekah Venturini and Michael Rouiller Atomic Graphics!
  3. LA Fit Marathon and Expo
  4. Finalizing our product with our Manufacturer and entering production.
  5. Two more nice events the Makeshift makers Market & Sacramento Susan B Anthoney ½ Marathon
  6. Getting VA U-Line into Fleet Feet Sacramento
  7. Having our First Sports Photographer photoshoot!  (huge thanks to James Kao!)
  8. Tomorrow I will be Soloing at the City to Sea 5K.  Go Central Coast!!

I gotta be honest guys, my insides, more than half the time, are all nutted up! I’m taking a leap of faith and I don’t know if I’m going to fly or fall!  It’s not about the financial investment I’ve made it’s about spouting my mouth off of how amazing my product is and how successful this company is going to be.  I have laid my pride on the line and I’m petrified to my core! This too shall pass, Right!? I tell myself constantly

”It’s not the end of the world or your life if Vai does not work out!”

”Give it to God and let the anxiety go”

”You have an amazing, loving husband, family,  and home”

These thoughts are what I have to repeat, literally, out loud to myself almost on a daily basis!  I’ve been working on this business for the last 2 years and the dream/idea has been in my heart and mind for over 17 years and now here we are!

2000 sports bras are on there way as I type this blog out, we will be selling online and in retail by the beginning of November 2019!

Wish us good luck!

Special shout out to Atomic Graphics
