Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing mothers who have always given themselves to their children! I would do anything to give my two boys what they need in life and then I strive extra hard to give them some of the things they want! As I’ve blogged before my two boys are almost 2 decades apart!😯 And I’ve seen it all with my first! Friend issues, school issue, girl issues, life issues and so many times the mama bear in me wanted to go bounding in and trample whoever upset my beautiful boy! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not ignorant to the fact that he was never at fault and definitely not perfect, but loving moms are instinctively protective! So cheers to all you loving overprotective mama 🐻 bears!!
My oldest has always been a down to earth kid, can’t say he ever did anything outrageously stupid to get in trouble! Mostly your basic stupid stuff, he and a few friends set off fireworks in a church courtyard then ran back to the friend’s house. He was never into school or studying so I rode his ass about his grades on a daily basis! I honestly worried about that boy’s future every day! His grades were horrible like summer school horrible. I knew it wasn’t an intelligent issue because when it was a subject that really tickled his fancy he excelled in it! He finally started doing better in his junior year of high school and things started to fall into place for him!
His love for aeronautics started taking over and with a jet pilot for an uncle, he definitely had an advantage. His Senior year he got very into CrossFit and his first job at a sports recovery massage place. He loved it and was an exceptional worker (just like his mommy) working hard is in our genes! Right after high school, with help from his uncle, he got his private pilots license and researched ATP flight school in Long Beach. My very very proud mama day is when my son at age 19 signed a school loan and chose an exciting lucrative career path AND followed through! He is now 21 Years old and flys for ACI in San Luis Obispo, and just recently passed his first jet training program ( no more small 4 seaters for that kid😉)
I am so proud of my son Brandon, there’s just something about your first child! Love you, my son!
